Looking for fun, free activities for the family this weekend in San Diego? Spend a day by the bay with your family watching daring acrobatics, and challenging and colorful acts from around the world as Seaport Village welcomes the season with the Spring Busker Festival!
This family-friendly event takes place Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30. The unique festival is celebrating its 8th year and invites buskers – street performers – from around the world to perform on the San Diego bay front!
What Is A Busker?
A Busker is a street performer. Known for their unusual and comedic acts in Boston’s Faneuil Hall or standing statue-like, painted in gold on San Francisco’s Pier 39, these artists perform for tips in public venues across the globe.
This year’s lineup includes a sword swallower, fire breather, acrobatics, circus performers and more, with acts coming from as far as Norway. The festival is from noon to 6 p.m. both days, with a special Buskers After Dark performance from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday night. The night time event will feature a DJ, food and drink specials and busker acts for the 18+ crowd.
