The After-School All Stars, “Party Like a Rock Star” Dodge Ball Tournament was back at the Woodstock Terrace at the Hard Rock Hotel for a second slamming year.
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger started the ASAS program to provide enrichment programs for kids after school — between the hours of 3 and 6 pm — when they might be more at risk.
Tyree Dillingham hosted the event again, along with Charger's linebacker Shaun Phillips and Stephen Cooper who attended as celebrity ambassadors for the competition. Assemblyman, and current San Diego Mayoral candidate, Nathan Fletcher and Jaguars linebacker Kassim Osgood also joined in the super charged games.
But the real celebrities in the spotlight this time around were the school children themselves. They showcased their after-school skills and wowed the celebrity-filled audience with steel drum music, hip-hop dances, and beat boxing.
Over 350 people participated and all were dressed to impress!
