Croce's was the site of this month's Tweet-up organized by Liz Philips @iizliz and Stacy Ross @sdbargainmama (gotta follow them!). Food, music and delightful companionship were the highlight of the evening. About 30 San Diego bloggers congregated at this San Diego Gaslamp Quarter restaurant to chat about life on the WWW.
Ingrid Croce and Suzette Valle
Ingrid Croce, wife of the late Jim Croce, is the consummate hostess; she personally greeted us and told us the story of how Croce's Restaurant came to be. She had her new cookbook, “Thyme in a Bottle: Memories and Recipes” autographed and ready for us to take home! She also graciously made the rounds at each table making sure we were all enjoying the specially-selected menu items for the group.
I had the pleasure of meeting bloggers whom I'd only cyber met and are better conversationalists in person: Chelsea of SomeDayI'llLearn.com, CJ @PublicRemix and LeatherandBags.com President Cathy Nguyen. We had way too much fun for one table!
My budding-blogger daughter, Bianca, agreed to come along to get her first peek into bloggers' gatherings. She's a fashion blogger, http://crumpetsandt.blogspot.com and everyone was quick to share tips and advise with her about the possibilities for her site. She was hanging on your every word, ladies! (Bet you didn't think you'd be playing role model last night!).

San Diego has wonderful women contributing on the web to all sorts of community organizations, businesses and projects and we are all the better for their work.
Thank you Liz and Stacy for an elegant evening, and to Ingrid for your inspiration.
I hope we'll all catch up again soon!
That was such a fun night – Ingrid was an amazing host! I love Bianca's blog. She has incredible fashion sense and I'm just blown away by Bailee's photography skills. Such talent, those girls will go far!
Awwe, thank you Chelsea! Spent time over at your place today. You are a riot!
What a lovely post about a fabulous evening! I'm just sorry I didn't get up sooner in the evening to start “millin' 'bout!”
Laura, I'm bummed we didn't get to chat that night. It was such a wonderful and warm event, wasn't it? I hope we'll have the chance to do this again soon.
