Celebrate Your Gal Pals With a Galentine’s Party for Valentine’s Day

Celebrate your gal pals with a Galentine’s Party for Valentine’s Day!

What is a Galentine’s, you ask? It’s a play on words: Gal + Valentine’s= Galentines.

Our girlfriends are there for us no matter what, but we don’t often get to show them how much we appreciate their friendship. This Valentine’s, I decided to gather my girls and do something special for them. I hosted a Galentine’s Party!

In a 2010 episode of “Parks and Rec” Amy Poehler said, “Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies.”

For my Galentine’s celebration, I made a simple meal and tried to decorate with little things to remind us of our friendship.

The little tin sign was a present from one of my Galentine's!

Good friends are like stars, you don’t always see them, but you know they’re always there.

I also didn’t want to work too much so I would have time to sit down, have a glass (or three!) of Champaign, and talk with my friends until our hearts’ content.

To keep track of our champagne flutes, I glued my friend’s initials on some fun straws.

Dessert was the centerpiece of our Galentine’s party. Shari’s Berries were the perfect way to surprise my girlfriends. These elegant chocolate-covered strawberries were a hit at my gals’ gathering!  They’re the most delicious treats and they dress up any party effortlessly.

I ordered the Dipped Chessecake Trio and Dozen Valentine’s Strawberries combo package.  And those magnificent pink-and-white covered strawberries? Those are the Half Dozen Gourmet Dipped Pink Champaign Strawberries. Aren’t they just gorgeous?

Just order them online and they arrive beautifully packaged in an insulated and refrigerated box.

My friends are very special to me. We’ve been through so much together. They are my rocks!

After we made some fun champagne and pomegranate drinks, we sat around and talked…and talked…and talked some more for the rest of the afternoon.
