The Sixth Annual Crafting Community is set for May 1 – 3 at Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs. Read on to find out more about this unique family vacation and how to get tickets!
“Crafting Community, or Family Camp as a lot of guests have started calling it, is such a unique event, where travel, art, fashion, recreation and family connect – a Coachella for families, if you will.
The mission of Crafting Community is to cultivate immersive design experiences where families can play, grow and be together. Created by two very liked minded mothers and entrepreneurs, artist Karen Kimmel and Stacy Bernstein, Crafting Community strongly believes that creativity is an essential tool for life.
Their events seamlessly merge brands, big and small and in addition to the many artisans, companies such as Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, SoulCycle, Whole Foods, Linus and Ergo/Orbit Baby will also be on hand bringing their amazing stories, products and brands to life. Creative director Karen Kimmel will lead families through a series of workshops throughout the weekend along with some of the foremost design talents of the day including Gabriel Cohen, LA-based designer and blogger Justina Blakeney, Whitney Chamberlin of SmileBooth and Christine Schmidt of Yellow Owl Workshop.
After creating uncommon and wonderful things, families will be given a number of chances to get outside, connect with nature and play. An Underwater Photography workshop, hip-hop classes, an age-specific workout series from partners Global Fitness and Undefeated and a dawn ride with SoulCycle are just a few of the ways families will let loose!”
