Hi! I would love to attend this event!
My pregnancy was pretty uneventful – except I had to do it alone. I was in the Navy stationed in Japan when I found out I was pregnant. I was given the option to stay there or come home to California. I wanted to be closer to my family, so I chose the latter.

My first pregnancy was easy up to the labor and delivery. Dr. said during my due date that I was not even dilated 🙁 Family members flew into town and MIL (aka Grandma) told my DS (pointing to the belly) that you'd better show up tonight because I'm leaving town in 3 days!! Sure enough, water barely leaked that evening (guessed he heard & responded). After a soak in the tub and a run to Jack in the box to stuff my belly at 3 am, I arrived at the hospital to realize that my water was not fully ruptured. Dr. ruptured it for me. Then I was given pictocin because I wasn't dilated. Darn, that's strong stuff!! Contractions came every minute towards the end!!! 16 hrs later with no progress after 7 cm and no epidural, they told me I had to have a c-section! I said no!!! I didn't read that section of “What to expect when you're expecting!” So the epidural came after enduring 16 hrs of pain (thinking i'm having this baby naturally) and I thought, damn…all that work for nothing! I ended up with a c-section 18 hrs later and seeing and holding my beautiful boy made it all worth while!

My pregnancy was a breeze. Those 9 joyous months just FLEW by with daily yoga, healthy foods, and stress-relieving massages. I actually LOST 12 pounds! And the birth was so easy…that kid just hopped right on outta there!
Oh wait. I don't have kids. That's my dream pregnancy. Made you all jealous though, didn't I? 🙂

OK, but it's good practice to imagine this positive and calm pregnancy, right? You still won the tickets and will have to endure listening to many a birthing story at Mamafest! Hopefully, you'll still want to have kids after hearing them. Ha!

Oh boy. Mine was only a day late, but complications made it tough. Spent a full week in the hospital.

I'm pregnant with our first baby and I've had 2 dreams that it was a girl and the labor was peaceful and calm and she just kinda came out. And no pain!!!
I hope that dream comes true in September =)

My best story was our third. My wife and I where back from Disney, she was brushing her teeth and had started to gag a little bit. She looked at me knowingly, I shrugged, said it must have been the mouse. Three pregnancy tests later, but we didn't believe the first two, we were on the phone “spreading the news” – wouldn't give up that little dudetter for anything but she was a shock!
